    • Shows are going on hiatus for their Christmas breaks, and this is the time the networks announces what they will do when the new year comes around and the mid-season hits. It is usually a time for the networks to try out new shows and give their current shows a break. Both ABC and CBS announced their mid-season schedules on Tuesday, but let’s look at ABC right now.

The big returning series for ABC is of course their hit series, Lost. That series is set to return on January 21st. It is returning to its original time slot of Wednesday night. ABC has already started its big promotional push for the series, and new teasers are released all the time it seems now. The opening scene from the premiere episode was just released this week. Lost comes from the mind of JJ Abram, and it is one of the best series on television, even with how much it frustrates its viewers.

ABC also has new series coming to the network though. Castle, The Unusuals and a rejump of Cupid. Scrubs is also finally makes its jump from NBC to ABC for the final leg of that series. Most of these new series won’t hit ABC until March and April however. Lost will be the main mid-season property for ABC. Are you ready for Lost to come back? I know I am. I need a Lost fix in a big way. Only one more month! I can wait that long.
