    • Celebrity Circus Coming to NBCThe producers of Deal or No Deal, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Big Brother and Fear Factor will be bringing the circus into our living rooms beginning on June 11 at 9:30 p.m. (ET). Celebrity Circus is sure to have us on the edge of our seats as we watch six celebrities perform death-defying stunts in front of a live studio audience! Best of all, we get to vote on the best act and determine who stays and who goes.

Antonio Sabato Jr. from General Hospital and Melrose Place; Grammy-nominated R&B soul singer Blu Cantrell; Christopher Knight, known as Peter Brady from The Brady Bunch; Olympic athlete Janet Evans; supermodel and actress Rachel Hunter; and Jackass star Jason “Wee Man” Acuna will be the six celebrities who will perform the death-defying stunts. All six of them, of course, will be trained by professionals, and like American Idol, they’ll be judged by a panel of professional circus entertainers.

“When people are switching around their TV channels, they’re going to stick to this like flypaper. It’s going to be a very fresh perspective on a performance show,” Craig Pletis told Variety.

Although Celebrity Circus is similar to Dancing With the Stars, Craig told Variety that Celebrity Circus will be “bigger, bolder and more death-defying. You can break a nail doing that show. You can break a leg on ours.”

According to the press release, former Emmy Red Carpet host Joey Fatone will be the host of Celebrity Circus.

Tune in to NBC on Wednesday, June 11 at 9:30 p.m. (ET) for 90 minutes of high flying, real circus acts! You won’t want to miss it, especially if you’re like me and enjoy watching circus acts.

I can’t believe that I wasn’t able to go to the CMT awards and be there in person with all the fans and excitement!!!” Kellie expressed.

Kellie Pickler won three awards during the CMT 2008 Music Awards on Monday night. Amazingly, Kellie won all three of the CMT awards that she was nominated for, and those three CMT awards were the CMT Performance of the Year Music Award for I Wonder, the CMT Tearjerker Video of the Year Music Award, also for I Wonder, and the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year, again for I Wonder.

    • Spoiler Alert: If the final Celebrity Apprentice has not yet aired in your time zone and you don’t like spoilers, then stop here. The following will reveal the winner of Celebrity Apprentice.

      *The Celebrity Apprentice
Piers Morgan and Trace Adkins battled it out for $250,000 for their charity and the title of the first Celebrity Apprentice. Their final task was to organize a charity event where they were judged on the amount of tickets sold to the event, money raised for their charity and how well they ran the event.

The task started out rough for both contestants. Piers panicked when he wasn’t selling enough tickets, and Trace seemed to be dominating Piers in this area as he flew several country music stars in on a private jet, which he paid for out of his own pocket to ensure they arrived. However, Trace struggled a lot with the Backstreet Boys, his entertainers, because their list of demands was quite long, and Trace and his team felt many of the items on the Backstreet Boys’ list were unnecessary. Despite many of the demands being unnecessary, Trace went out of his way to make sure the Backstreet Boys were pleased so they’d perform. From black fingernail polish, a twisted knee and wheat grass juice, Trace couldn’t believe the drama from the Backstreet Boys.

The pressure was heating up and beginning to take its toll on Trace, but the surprise visit from his wife and daughters was just the medicine to cure Trace’s stress. In fact, a tearful Trace expressed how the surprise visit reminded him why he was there, which was for his 6-year-old daughter who suffers from severe food allergies.

Later, Piers dominated the auction with two $100,000 bids from the same supporter at the beginning. Then Piers introduced Simon Cowell who was on the phone. While on the phone with Simon, Piers asked Simon for help and earned himself another $100,000 for his charity! Trace thought this was a bit “distasteful” of Piers, but he admitted that he knew Piers would raise the most during the auction. He went on to say he knew his most successful part of the task would be the entertainment.

Despite not being able to provide the Backstreet Boys with the wheat grass juice they requested, they came through for Trace with a wonderful and energizing performance!

“They didn’t need any wheat grass juice at all,” Trace joked.

Before Donald Trump announced the winner of Celebrity Apprentice live, he showed the footage where Piers and Trace fought for their charity in the boardroom. In the boardroom, Mr. Trump asked Trace about the demands from the Backstreet Boys. Trace said he did everything he could to accommodate them, but he was still worried that they wouldn’t come through when he couldn’t get them everything they had requested. Next, Mr. Trump turned to Piers and asked him what he would’ve done had he been in Trace’s shoes. Without hesitation, Piers stated he would have told the Backstreet Boys to shove the nail polish up their… you know what, which was no surprise coming from Piers Morgan. After that response, Mr. Trump told Piers if he had of had the Backstreet Boys and didn’t go to the lengths to please them as Trace did, then they might not have performed.

Mr. Trump moved on, and the amount raised by both Piers and Trace was revealed. Piers raised $376,000 for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, and Trace raised $64,000 for the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network Charity. Although Piers was the clear winner for the most money raised, Trace won for the most tickets sold. (Trace sold $38,000 worth of tickets while Piers sold $12,000 worth.)

Piers argued that even though Trace did better on ticket sales, overall he raised over $400,000 and that should be enough to win. Trace then accused Piers of being bad-mannered to his own guests, but Piers said he didn’t do such a thing. Mr. Trump cut in and said whether Piers is guilty or not, that’s his personality. A little while later, Trace did commend Piers for working with him to make the charity event a memorable one.

In the end, Mr. Trump announced live, that aside from Piers’ “vicious” personality, he did raise the most money out of all the contestants. Therefore, Piers Morgan was given the title of Celebrity Apprentice and $250,000 for his charity.

    • Kellie Pickler - Moving Up in the Music Industry

    • American Idol finalists Kellie PicklerKellie Picker, the 21-year-old former Sonic waitress on roller skates from North Carolina, was one of the most memorable American Idol finalists for me. She finished in sixth place on American Idol Season Five, and today she continues to move up in the music industry — just as I thought she would.

Since her sixth place finish on American Idol Season Five, Kellie headed to Nashville, TN to pursue her dreams in the music industry. In July 2006, Kellie signed on with BNA Records, and three months later she released Small Town Girl, her debut album, which was certified gold in the United States and sold over 700,000 copies! Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind, I Wonder and Red High Heels were three of the singles from Kellie’s debut album that became hits.

Just recently Kellie Pickler finished her tour with Rascal Flatts, and since being back home, this rising country star has received four CMT award nominations for her I Wonder single: Breakthrough Video of the Year, Tearjerker Video of the Year, Performance of the Year and Director of the Year - Deaton Flanigen. Kellie has yet to win an award, but in addition her CMT nominations for this year, she also received four nominations last year for the CMT Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards and the New Music Weekly Awards. What do you say we help her land one of those awards this year. After all, she is deserving of them, wouldn’t you agree? To support Kellie Pickler, head to CMT and place your vote today.

Finally, another, most recent, achievement for Kellie Pickler is the opportunity to perform live on the Grand Ole Opry, which she will be doing on March 29. To find out more about Kellie Pickler’s accomplishments since American Idol, visit the official Kellie Pickler website.
