- This one is one of those I hope doesn’t happen. After five seasons on air, CW canceled Beauty & The Geek. There was word that the series would move to another network, and MTV has now come forward expressing interest in the series. They want to make a few changes though. They want to use this series as another vehicle for former Real World ladies to length their fifteen minutes of fame. They already have their challenges, and now they might have this.
  
  The geeks will go for the affections of these semi-famous women week after week. MTV is in talks for this one, and no deal is set you. This news broke from the Hollywood Reporter. Even with no deal set, the series wants to move ahead with casting at this time. So if you have been on the Real World, they might want you!
  
  This one really does have me scratching my head though. I am a fan of the Real World, and yes I do watch the challenges as well. I just remember a day when those were only the reality series on MTV. Now that is all MTV seems to be. One reality series after another. Back in the day, they had Remote Control, Real World, Road Rules and a bunch of music related series. They even closed down Total Request Live this past weekend, and that was probably the last remaining truly music focused show on the network. These days things have just changed at MTV and not for the better.
