    • Does anyone else remember VH1’s Behind The Music? I used to personally love that series. Each week, VH1 took us behind the scenes of the happenings behind some of the biggest groups and artists in the industry. The series had its start back in 1997, and it ran until 2002.  It continued to run sporadically until 2006, but now it is coming back in full. VH1 has said it is still considered very much a VH1 series by the network’s viewers. I remember tuning in on Sunday nights just to watch this weekly.

Of course back in 1997, there wasn’t much else on television on Sunday nights. Sure, we had a few decent television series over the years. The Practice is one that comes immediately to mind, but Friday and Sunday nights are usually dead nights when it comes to television. Case in point is the new Dollhouse airing on Friday nights on Fox. The series really isn’t doing all that well in the ratings, and we might see it yanked off the air eventually.

This probably isn’t much of a shock to viewers though. Fox is known for ripping things off the air. However, it is good to see an old favorite return. Behind The Music was one of the best documentary series I’ve seen on television. We were taken into the lives of groups and artists to see just what made them do what they love they do. No word on just when this series will return, but the network is already lining up interviews. Are you excited for the return of Behind The Music?
