It appears I’ve been under an illusion for most of my life, I was always lead to believe that Britain was a multi-cultural society… But apparently nay!

Stephen Green (Christian Voice) has chosen to appeal the decision of a judge not to allow him to pursue a case against BBC for airing Jerry Springer - The Opera in 2005. Stephen Green is aiming to sue the BBC based on Christian blasphemy laws. The show depicted Jesus in a number of negative ways, including a little bit gay and in Green’s own words the perv in a nappy.

I find this absolutely ridiculous! There was a big deal made about this show before it aired, so why the hell would a Christian actually watch it, knowing they would probably be offended? Also, why are Christian laws still in existence? Christians are no longer the driving force in Britain, they should not be able to dictate the law and infringe freedom of speech.

At the end of the day, by suing the BBC he’s only suing the British public, I sincerely hope this case gets thrown out straight away!
