Brown to scot up the Simpsons
-

Way back in 2003, the then British prime minister (recently seen acting in a Cadbury’s chocolate advert) Tony Blair, took up a cameo role in the Simpsons. The voice footage was recorded in secret in the dark depths of No.10 and now Yeardley Smith (the voice of Lisa) wants the new
silver backPrime Minister, Gordon Brown, to lend his voice to a bright yellow look-alike.Matt Groening, creator of the show, insisted that Browner would not be making an appearance as it was too late for him to make it into the season premier and they didn’t want to cover old ground by having another Prime Minister. The fact that Yeardley, a commanding member of the cast, thinks it would be “fun” to have a scot on the show may well make it happen mind you.
If they decided to go ahead with this and can’t get Brown himself on, it’s likely that they’ll make use of a “voice-double”. My suggestion would be that they make use of the actor currently playing Groundskeeper Willy.
