C4 bucking the trend, more factual content…
-

The BBC’s recently chosen to ditch factual content in favour of more budget friendly reality shows but, fortunately, Channel 4 has stepped into the breach. Unveiling their winter line up, they announced their intend to load up their 9pm slots with factual content, starting in January with a gluten of food related shows.
January will see some heavyweight personalities hitting our screens, including Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall with
Hugh’s Chicken Run
, Jamie Oliver withJamie’s Fowl Dinners
and Gordon Ramsay withCook-a-Long-a-Gordon Live
. The shows are hopefully going to encourage people tothink before they eat
.Later on in the year, Stephen Hawking will present
Stephen Hawking: Master of the Universe
, a two-part series analysing our understanding of the Universe. We’ll be treated to arevisit
of 2005’sBig Art Project
and experience the delight’s Alan Carr’s first solo attempt withAlan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong
.Unfortunately we’ve not been ridded of all reality-rubbish, while Celebrity Big Brother won’t be returning it’s been replaced by
Celebrity Hijack
which will be keeping Dermot O’Leary in work
2008 looks set to be an interesting year and with the BBC languising on the verge of bankruptcy (maybe a little overstated), it’s time for the other broadcasters to challenge their monopoly!

First of all: Celebrity Hijack sounds like the most ridiculous show on television. I am envisioning Punk’d with guns.
Second: I saw your posting for TV bloggers on Pro Blogger and I tried to send you an e-mail but I keep getting a bounce back. Do you have an alternate address?
You can post back on my blog above or if you’re able to see my e-mail address you can send me one there.
Thanks
