Spotlight: Law & Order Takes On Heath Ledger
-
Law & Order and other such series have always been known to take news worthy events and twist them around for use on the series. They have done this a number of times over the years. Now they want to take on the death of Heath Ledger earlier this year. This death captivated fans of the actor from around the world. It is said to be partly responsible for the rise to fame that one movie had this summer, The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger is being considered now for a best supportining actor Oscar.
Page Six was the first to mention of this plot for an upcoming episode of Law & Order. This is just being rumored right now, but the episode would follow a model that is a rising star and gets all the ladies. He dies from an overdose after leaving a night club with his girlfriend. He is found dead the next morning.
This is making me wonder. Is it too soon to rip this story line from the headlines. It has nearly been a year, but this death was so much in the public eye, and the effects of this one death are still being felt by those that knew the actor, especially with how well The Dark Knight did. There are some things that might be just too sensitive to touch upon, and this might be one of those cases. At least in my opinion. Yours might differ. What do you think?

Law & Order Returns
-
NBC has decided to make some changes to its schedule. These changes mostly have to do with the network’s Wednesday night line-up. NBC has decided to focus just solely on their crime dramas this one night a week. This change started with the return of Law & Order. This series is the longest running series on NBC. It has been on air since 1990, and it has been spun off more than once. Now it’ll become the cornerstone of NBC’s line-up. It will air on Wednesday nights 10/9c.
Knight Rider will remain in its time slot at the start of the night, and Life will come in between the two. Life had been airing on Friday nights. Now Lipstick Jungle will move to Friday nights. You do have to wonder why such a drastic change to the line-up so early in the game when it comes to the season. Knight Rider has the full backing of NBC. The series ratings aren’t the best, but the series does have fan support.
Some series are also being delayed until later in the season. It appears Heroes is once again going to have an early end to its season. That series hasn’t truly come back from the mess that was last season. NBC used to consist of some of the best shows on network television. Those days are long and far behind. At least in my mind that is. Do you still watch NBC? Or has some other network become your must watch network?

Law & Order
American police procedural and legal drama television series created by Dick Wolf. It has been broadcast on NBC since its debut on September 13, 1990. Set in New York City, the series follows the professional and to a lesser extent the personal lives of several police officers and prosecutors who represent the public interest in the criminal justice system. The characters frequently encounter dilemmas and frustrations as cases go through the stages of investigation, arrest, negotiation and trial. Matters are rarely resolved easily, or for the people involved, satisfactorily.
