    • You would think that two reality television stars would fit in perfectly on a reality show. Come in, do their thing and then go. Apparently, this isn’t the case for newlyweds Spencer and Heidi. They joined the cast of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, and apparently that was just what they said soon after they arrived. A meal of beans and rice were just right for them.

They started threatening to leave the Costa Rican spot they were filming in from the first day. In fact, they actually left at the end of the first day when Spencer wasn’t willing to sit down and eat the dinner that was being served, even though everyone else seemed to be just fine. He is used to more higher class meals than simple rice and beans. I’m A Celebrity is not The Hills though.

After the two left, it appears that they had a change of heart. They wanted to return to the series, but the producers weren’t so quick to let them back in. They are turning to the rest of the celebrities for a vote of sorts before they let the couple rejoin the show. Something tells me these two are just spoiled and trouble. That really isn’t no big surprise at all though. That is just who they are. What do you think? Are you watching I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here? Would you let Heidi and Spencer back in?

    • American Idol Changes

    • Well, it looks like we might see some big changes in American Idol this season. Contracts are up, and we might see some changes in the judges by the time season nine roles around. We know the summer is when things start to gear up for the next season, even if the recent season just ended. There is a long selection process that goes into picking the contestants that make it to American Idol, but it appears that selection process might become even longer.

It seems those behind American Idol are not too sure about two of the American Idol judges. Those two being the female judges on the show. Paula Abdul’s contract is up now, and Kara Dioguardi only had a one year contract. American Idol isn’t sure it wants either back for season nine, so they might do auditions a bit differently this year. Instead of one trip through the cities, there might end up being two.

The contestants would need to get passed the first round selection process before they even see the judges. This might change up the audition process for American Idol significantly. We might not see as many of the weird contestants that come on the series in the first round. No Simon to bash them. Paula has never been my favorite judge, but I think she adds something to the series. However, it might be time for her to move on. What do you think? Does American Idol need a new set of judges? Or are they fine as they are for when season nine hits.

    • Brian Austin Green Going To The Hill

    • Brian Austin Green seems to have all the luck really. Not only does he have Megan Fox to come home tom his career seems to just keep moving right along. Sure, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was canceled by Fox, as was Freddie a couple of years ago. However, it looks like Brian Austin Green won’t be out of a job for too long. No official confirmation yet, but it looks like the actor is ready to join the cast of One Tree Hill for next season.

If it ends up happening, he would come in as a full time regular cast member.  We all know Green is no stranger to teen dramas like we see on The CW. For ten years, he played David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210, and I am quite surprised he didn’t popup on the revamp for 90210 that hit CW last fall. Didn’t pop up on the new Melrose Place, but he really had no connection to that series other than the fact that Melrose Place was spun off from Beverly Hills 90210.

I’ve always been a fan of Brian Austin Green. He might not be a huge star, but it seems to just keep himself busy and moving right along to the next project. I’ve watched him grow up as an actor from his start on 90210 to his latest role on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He has a mix of strong male presence with some comedic presence as well that make him quite versatile as an actor.

    • Paris Looking For A New Best Friend

    • Yes, if you are a fan of MTV, then you already know Paris Hilton is already looking for another best friend. She did this last year, and now she wants another one. Not sure why we needed this season in the first place. I am still missing the days when MTV actually was music television. Now unless you get up and watch MTV at 6am in the morning, you don’t really get to see music television. It has turned into RTV more than thing, and this series by Paris Hilton is just another example of that.

I didn’t mind some reality television. Remember when Real World premiered, and it was new and innovative? People tuned in just to see what would happen when a small group of people were forced to live together. The early casts didn’t find fame and fortune.  In fact, most might not even remember those from the early casts unless they somehow popped up on the later challenges that came. I would have been happy just with The Real World. Although you have to admit the challenges can be amusing.

Paris is ready to look for a new best friend though. She hit the red carpet at MTV Movie Awards this weekend, but she didn’t stay long enough to really do any partying. She headed to New York, and word has it she is taking her MTV series to Dubai. There are also rumors of a summer wedding, which I can almost see MTV using to their advantage somehow as well. The search for Paris Hilton’s new BFF premieres tonight on MTV.

    • Jay Leno Says Good-bye

A post about by Regina Avalos on June 2nd, '09

    • Tonight starts a new era in late night television. Conan takes over The Tonight Show on NBC, and in the fall we will see Jay Leno make his return to NBC in an all new time slot, prime-time. If you happened to catch the show this past Friday night, you were one of the many that did and made this the best Friday night showing ratings wise for The Tonight Show in years.

Seventeen years Leno had ruled over late night as he took over The Tonight Show from Johnny Carson. We all know of the battle that took place between him and David Letterman back then, but over the years it looks like those two ended up working out their problems and become friends of sorts.

Letterman had even stood up and spoke out about NBC firing Leno like they had, but this was before NBC unveiled their new plan to bring Leno back to the network in a new earlier time slot. Jay will take the summer off before he returns to take care NBC’s ten o’clock hour, which has always been reserved for dramas.

That is gone, and it is time for a new era to begin as Conan takes over The Tonight Show on Monday night. Conan is ready for it. Will you be tuning in to watch Conan on the new tonight show? What about Jay? Are you excited for his jump into prime-time. What do you think?
