    • One of the biggest television series of the 1990s is without a doubt The X-Files. This series came in and made people watch every single week. It dominated its night, and it made stars out of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Since the end of the series and following its first tackling of the big screen ten years ago, Chris Carter has kept mentioning a return to the big screen, but it hasn’t really happened. Then last year, everything finally fell into place. Duchovny and Anderson both signed onto the project, and filming took place. Now we have a completed movie ready to hit the big screen this summer.

A trailer for X-Files 2: I Want To Believe has now hit, and I think it offers more questions than gives us any real answers to what this movie is about. This is true to X-Files form though. The series always did like to keep us on the edge of our seats and keep us guessing. I tuned in weekly when the show aired, and there are series today that are being compared to the series. One such series is Supernatural. Some have called it X-Files for generation X.  That series is heading into its fourth season on the CW. Some are saying it is the show’s last season.

The X-Files was really a first of its kind, and that is what made people watch. I know it made me watch. No matter how horrific or gory it ended up being, I never stopped watching. I’m excited for the new movie. The X-Files 2 will hit theaters on July 25th. You can check out the new trailer here.

    • NBC Unveils Knight Rider

    • untitled1.jpgEarlier this month I wrote about NBC bringing back Knight Riderwith a whole new series. The movie that is also doubling as a possible pilot will air on NBC in February. Fans of Sunday Night Football on NBC were treated to a quick look at the new series when the new face and voice of KITT was unveiled. This time around we have a new car for KITT, a Ford Shelby GT500KR. The voice behind the car is Will Arnett.

Fans seem to be excited for this all new film, and if the excitement continues word has it we will have an all new series featuring the new Knight Riderthis fall on NBC. I know I would be personally thrilled to see this series hit. The movie needs to do well first though. David Hasselhoff is set to make at least a cameo appearance in the film. The new Knight Rider is his illegitimate son after all. An appearance by dear old dad is only to be expected.

Even with only this brief few second glimpse of the new KITT, I cannot wait until February for the movie to hit. I was a loyal fan of the series, and I remember going to look at the KITT car they had at Universal Studios when I was growing up. I’ll miss the  Trans Am, but this new car looks amazing. You can check out the teaser trailer for the movie here.
