    • Late last week, CBS went ahead and released its fall schedule, and I’ve noticed a change or two in their line up. Many were hoping Moonlight would somehow magically appear on their fall schedule, but there is no such luck there. For those waiting for the return of their favorite CBS shows, they really don’t have that long to wait. Everything new starts to hit the network the last week of September through the first week of October.

One big change I see is over on Tuesday and Sunday nights. With the cancellation of Shark, Cane not returning and some other moves, The Unit has moved from its Tuesday night slot at 9/8C to Sunday night at 10/9c. This means Without a Trace has moved to Tuesday night and a new series, The Mentalist, has taken the spot once home to The Unit. More new series are joining CBS’ line-up including comedies Worst Week and Project Gary.

I’m not sure on why The Unit was moved. The series has done well in its time slot, and Sunday has always seemed like such a dead zone to me. Just like Friday is on most networks. Some were saying The Unitmight not even return for a fourth season. Another possible casualty of the writer’s strike. However, in the end it was picked up and now moved to its new time slot. We will have to wait and see how it does on Sunday night. For a full list of premiere dates, check out Coming Soon.
