Fox Looks Ahead to Summer!
-
Here it is barely February, and Fox is already announcing its plans for the network to heat up the hot summer months ahead even more. Right now, the network is heating up things with episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and American Idol. Just this week, American Idol named its top twenty-four contestants which means the vote now goes to America in the weeks ahead. Just who will end up being this year’s American Idol? It is really too soon to tell. The judges are saying this is their most talented bunch yet. It really is anyone’s game. From the same people as American Idol, this May we will So You Think You Can Dance return for its fourth season with a two week four hour long premiere containing this year’s dance auditions. Once those are complete the series will air two nights a week with a performance show on Wednesday night and the results show where we will see dancers head home on Thursday night. This will air throughout the summer months until one dancer is named this year’s best dancer. Cat Deeley is once again hosting this year’s series.
As for other offerings from Fox this summer, they also plan to more new episodes of The Moment of Truth, and a new unscripted series tentatively titled, When Women Ruled The World. In this series, two groups will be sent to a remote location, a group of independent women and a group of independent men. The men will then have to deal with the women calling all the shots. This one sounds a bit odd to me, but it might be entertaining. Fox has always come out with different unscripted series. Anyone remember Temptation Island? Speaking of unscripted series, Hell’s Kitchen will also make its return this summer. With encore episodes of Bones and House, this summer is definitely heating up on Fox.
