    • jimmy_fallon_150.jpgWe all know Jay Leno has decided to move on from the late night game in 2009. Ever since he made that announcement, there has been buzz about what would happen to his spot in late night television. Late night is a whole battle between names for viewers. Letterman and Leno are the biggest, and we all know they learned from the best. Other names have come and gone over the years. Right now, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson all have spots in the late night game.

Word has had it that Conan will move up to take over The Tonight Show, and now it looks like we might have a replacement set to take over Late Nightonce the move is made in May 2009. Jimmy Fallon is said to have been tapped by NBC to take over Conan’s spot. NBC has high hopes for him, and they feel he is the right man for the job. He’s funny, and he’ll bring in his own fan-base with him to late night television.

Seeing Jay Leno retire is a bit sad for me. Out of all the late night talk show hosts, he is by far my favorite. He’s funny and creative. Not many of the others capture my attention like Leno, but I will admit to enjoying Craig Ferguson from time to time. That is if I’m still up when he airs. Jimmy will add in his own flair to things, and I’ll be curious to see what he does when he comes in.
