• Lipstick Jungle NOT Canceled - Yet?

    • This word came out Monday. Not from NBC, but from one of the series stars. Brooke Shields has said that her series has not been canceled at all. This is completely different than what Variety reported last week. That report said NBC had pulled the plug on both My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle. The series would finish out its thirteen episodes, and then it would come to an end. However, those thirteen episodes had already been shot, so there would be no set conclusion for the series. Fans weren’t happy about that.

      Now Brooke has said work is on going on the series. They are still filming, and none of the sets for the series have been broken down. This only leads to confusion. Could Variety been wrong? Could Lipstick Jungle be sticking around? Fans were outraged that the series had been canceled. They already started sending lipsticks to NBC in hopes to save their series. Similar efforts worked for Jericho when fans sent in peanuts. CBS kept the series around for a second season. No amount of peants could save it when it was hit with low ratings again though.

      What could be happening here though? A mix-up? My Own Worst Enemy was canceled, but could Lipstick Jungle be safe? Did fan efforts work that quickly? Is another network interested in snatching up the series? There is no clue yet. This story is developing. I’ll have more here as it becomes available! This one is definitely a bit of a puzzle, don’t you think?

      you just made me one very happy camper. I sincerely hope it’s not canceled. I thoroughly enjoy Lipstick Jungle!
