    • Fox’s 24 is yet another series hit by the writer’s strike. The seventh season of the series should have aired starting in January, but first with the delay due to the star’s jail time, and then the strike the season of episodes was not completed in time. It was soon announced that fans of the series wouldn’t have any new material from the show until January 2009. This could be a long wait, and it could spell death for the series if the fans just don’t want to wait that long for new episodes. When the series does return then, fans may not want to tune in.

However, fans are going to get a small taste of 24 this fall. Fox has decided to do a two hour movie that takes place in between the two year period between season six and seven. We will have our first female president in the series, and it looks to be a go. The series is gathering its actors now, and the writers are hard working on a script. As for season seven, the cast will be hard at work filming the remaining episodes for that season starting in April.

Hopefully, the movie will hold fans over until the new season of 24 hits in January 2009. For now, fans have episodes of American Idol and New Amsterdam to keep them busy. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ended its season this past Monday with a two hour event. No word yet on whether or not that series has a future next year on Fox. Only time will tell.
