    • If you are a fan of the Real World, then we have some really good news for you this week. MTV wants more Real World, and not only a little more, but a lot more. MTV has signed on for four more years of the reality series that many credit with the start of reality television. The first season of the series was back in 1991, and reality television wasn’t really something heard of then. Now I think we might have more reality television programs that dramas and comedies. My how times have changed!

The Brooklyn season of the series had its end this week, so Real World fans were probably feeling the loss of the series already. I remember when the series first began. I watched every week of the New York season. It was something new and different. We were taken into the lives of seven strangers. They weren’t celebrities, and they weren’t even looking to be celebrities. However, that is what some of them became after the series ended. It happened again and again over the years. We’ve seen some Real World alumni become models and actors.

As time went on, some saw a spot on the Real World as their jumping on spot. It wasn’t so new anymore, but people still tune in. I admit I even tune in myself. There have only been a few seasons that I haven’t watched. Yes, I think it is appealing to watch a trainwreck. That is what these seasons usually end up being anyway. What do you think? Are you ready for more of the Real World?
