    • The mid-season has barely started, and NBC is already looking ahead to Fall 2009. We know that at least two series are definitely returning to NBC’s line-up in September. Those series come as really no big surprise either, especially after one of them won big at the Golden Globe’s this past weekend. 30 Rock and The Office have both been picked up by NBC.

Like I said, this is really no big surprise. Both series have done well for the network, and a spin-off from The Office is still in the works as well. NBC also gave a sneak peek to those that went to the TCA Winter Press Tour of this news series. NBC has also made one small change to this season.

This season is the last for ER, but it isn’t quite done yet. NC has decided to extend the final season by three more episodes to a full 22 episode order. More time was needed to wrap things up. Old faces have been returning to the series. The series will air its final episode in April with a two-hour season finale. This will be preceded by a one hour look back at the series.

I remember watching ER over the years, but the last three years I’d given up on the series. I pop in from time to time to catch up on things, but I do plan on watching ER make its exit. There is no dying this is and will always be one of the better series on television.
