- NBC has put an end to two series this week, Lipstick Jungle and My Own Worst Enemy. Variety reported on the decision to cancel the series back on Wednesday, and it really is no surprise when it comes to at least one of the series. My Own Worst Enemy never really took off as a series. Ratings were low right from the beginning, and there were talks about NBC pulling the plug on the series only after the second episode aired. Nine episodes of the series have been completed, and those episodes will air.
  
  However, no additional episodes will be ordered. I actually liked this series from the start, and I thought Christian Slater did well in his dual role, but I looked to be in the minority. NBC has also pulled the plug on Lipstick Jungle. This one has bounced around a bit, and some said the writing was on the wall when the series was moved to Friday nights. This one has thirteen episodes done, and no more will be done after that. The problem here is those episodes have already been shot. This series will have no real closure.
  
  My Own Worst Enemy is in process of shooting episode nine, so they do have a chance to close out the story line for those that were watching. I am the type to stop watching a series if I know it has been cancelled though. Other series in danger of being cancelled include ABC’s Pushing Daisies and Fox’s Prison Break. Both have episodes done and ready to go, but their networks haven’t asked for more. Prison Break isn’t even listed on Fox’s mid-season schedule right now.

  I really enjoyed Lipstick Jungle. I’m very upset NBC is canceling it, and without any closure. Not okay with this.
