- This summer on NBC is sure to heat up. The network is already set to host this summer’s Olympic Games in Beijing, and they will surely win in the ratings there as they have in the past. Not only will viewers have the games to keep them glued to NBC on their television sets, NBC has also announced a summer schedule that includes many of the network top shows. The line up is heavy on the reality programming, but there will also be some scripted programming brought onto the network during the summer months.
  
  The reality programming includes more episodes of American Gladiators and new seasons of Last Comic Standing and America’s Got Talent. In addition, we will see a new addition to the network with Nashville Star. This series will be hosted by actor and country singer, Billy Ray Cyrus. That will premiere on the network on Monday, June 9th. Two other new series hitting the network this summer are Celebrity Circus and The Baby Borrowers.
  
  Celebrity Circus will follow a group of celebrities as they go through the paces to become circus performers. As for Baby Borrowers, teens will get to learn first hand what it is to become a parent and live life with their significant other. Over the course of three weeks, the teens will experience what life may be like at different ages. An interesting series I’ll probably want to check out. As far as scripted programming goes, Fear Itself, a horror anthology will premiere on the network on May 29th.
