    • Fox has announced that their hit series Prison Break will return next season for a fourth season. Their third season was cut drastically short due to the writer’s strike. Only thirteen episodes aired. For next season, there has been a twenty-two episode order placed. This has been met with a bit of chaos by fans. Some say the show just isn’t good enough as it is right now to return. They say it doesn’t have the same power as it did when the series premiered a few years ago. Others disagree, and they are happy to see the series coming back for another season. Will this fourth season be the series last? That is yet to be seen.

In other Fox series news, new series Canterbury’s Law has been moved to Friday nights. Anyone that knows Fox knows that Friday night is their dumping ground for shows that don’t have much of a chance of making it. The series premiered with low ratings, and they haven’t picked up yet. I really wouldn’t get too attached to this series if you’re watching it. Fox is notoriously hard on mid-season series. Very few actually see the fall.

As is the case with one series already this year. The Return of Jezebel James has already received the axe this spring.  Their original thirteen episode order had been dropped to seven, and the show will fade into the oblivion that is Fox after only airing three episodes. This series was highly promoted being from the same creator as Gilmore Girls. That couldn’t help it though. Critics were hard on it from the very beginning. There still isn’t any word on whether or not another mid-season series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, will be returning next season. Terminator is a hot ticket right now though. Filming is soon to begin on the fourth movie in the series with a release date of May 2009. Bringing the series back might be a smart idea for Fox.
