    • Mark Burnett, the man behind such big names in reality television as Survivor and The Apprentice, has been sued by his former partner. Many credit Burnett as kick starting the reality television genre, and this just comes as a bit of a surprise. Conrad Riggs claims that he is owed $70 million dollars from Burnett. Five of that was owed at the time their partnership ended back in 2007. The rest owed is his share of the profits from the series.

Riggs is also making claims that Survivor was his idea. That series has done extremely well on CBS, and it is one of the longest running shows on television. Burnett is worth over half a billion dollars, which is a number I can’t even begin to comprehend as far as wealth goes. Talk about set for life! Riggs wants exactly ten percent of that number. There are no comments from Burnett or his representatives at this time.

In other reality news, tonight is the end of another season of The Real World over on MTV. This season has been eventful. We saw Greg fired. We saw Joey go into rehab, and then he left the show because he couldn’t live in the environment of the household where everyone is always drinks and is partying. I commend him for making this decision for himself. He did what was best for him. We’ve seen hook-ups and familiar faces from past Real World casts pop-up this season as well. MTV is planning a live reunion special for this group in the week ahead. That should be an interesting thing to watch!
