    • Fans of the long running comedy The King of Queens might be happy to hear this news. One of the stars Leah Remini is set to start her own talk show on CBS. They are saying it won’t be your regular every day talk show. Just this week the actress appeared on The Rachael Ray show. She has also appeared in segments on Ellen’s show. Daytime talk is a tough market, and many actresses have failed. Rumors are flying a bit that Rosie might return to talk soon. At least a variety type show, and I think she would do well here.

Montel just left the day time market, and as mentioned on this blog previously went to soap operas by landing a role on CBS’ longest run soap opera, Guilding Light. Daytime television is the land od soaps, courtrooms and talk. That hasn’t changed. Game shows come and go, but soaps have always been a part of what makes daytime. As for talk shows, we have seen many come and go over the years. When it comes to talk, only the strong survive, and they eventually move on.

Rosie had a good show when she was on the air, and today Ellen is one of the best. I used to be more of a daytime television nut a few years ago, but now it seems to be all the same. I lost interest in it. Leah Remini might bring some new blood and fun back to daytime talk shows. Anything is really worth a shot. She would hit television screens Fall 2009 if things moved forward.
