    • For the past several years, 24 and Jack Bauer have dominated Fox’s Monday nights each Spring. This year, the series was pushed to the side by both the writer’s strike and an arrest of Keifer Sutherland, which put him behind bars for a short amount of time. Many wondered if an eighteenth month period would cause a problem for the show when it finally did return. Well, we finally get to find out if that is the case.

24 will return to Fox in January in its regular Monday night time slot. House has been tapped to lead in the series with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles being moved to Friday nights. Yes, we know the dead zone of Friday night. Some series do well there, but it is a rarity. Ghost Whisperer comes to mind. Moonlight died on Friday night. It really is a hit and miss with that night of the week.

For fans of 24, the wait for something new is getting shorter. A new television movie covering the period that just passed is premiering on Fox this Sunday night, and it will be available on DVD the following Tuesday, just in time for Thanksgiving. There really is no telling just how fans will take the return of 24. Many have been waiting for the comeback of this series for months, but some might have also walked away from the series once it disappeared for so long. We’ll have to see what happens in the months ahead.

Anyone who missed “Redemption” last night can see on hulu.com. I just posted about it on tvgawker.com, but long story short…it’s pretty damn good. Now just have a couple months to wait until we can get our next “24″ fix, which is annoying, but better than nothing for sure.
