    • Fringe hits Fox on Tuesday. Another series behind the man behind Felicity, Alias and Lost. The question on everyone’s mind with this one is if the series will live up to the standard of all the other series JJ Abrams has created. This one is being called a cross between Twlight Zone and The X-Files. The series follows the investigations of a scientist and an FBI agent. Sounds like the X-files here right from the very beginning.

Anything and everything that JJ Abrams touches seems to turn to gold. His first series, Felicity, was unlike any of his series that followed, but it was one of my favorites. Lost has captured a whole new set of JJ fans, and it will be difficult to see this one leave the air once two more series are done. All good things do need to come to an end though. Even with Lost not returning to ABC until the spring, news has been coming out from the set where filming is now taking place. We already know some of the dearly departed faces from seasons past will return, including Michelle Rodriguez.

Fringe is looking to come in and drag Fox back into science fiction. The trend started with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Fox is usually known for its comedy and drama. Science fiction has been a part of Fox though for a long time with series like Firefly and Dark Angel being popular on the network. Time will tell if Fringe has what it takes to make the cut.
