    • It is time once again for me to focus on a past show that I loved. This week that series is Happy Days. I grew up watching this series in syndication. Over on TV Squad, they mentioned that this week was the 35th anniversary of the series that made the Fonz a household name. It was the place where we saw Henry Winkler in that trademark leather jacket each and every single week. It was also the series where we saw our first look at Scott Baio.  Before he became Charles in Charge.

When it comes to classic television, this is one of the shows that is at the top of my list. Along with other series such as Three’s Company and Too Close For Comfort. Anyone else remember those two shows? Along with Happy Days, they somehow made my youth growing up on television fun. I remember watching them every time they were on, along with a few other popular series.

Television back then was simpler than it is today, but no less enjoyable.  In fact, I found myself missing the television we used to have in the old days. I’m not as young as I used to be, and back in the 80s there was just an entirely different vibe to television. Today it is more about reality television and being big and flashy. Back then, you had a set of a house with a family and maybe a couple of exterior sets and people still tuned in each and every single week. You really just don’t have that today.
