    • With it being summer and most of television currently enjoying a bit of a break after a troublesome year, it is time to look ahead for what is up and coming. Many shows will return to production if they actually ever left it in the weeks ahead and this means they need some new faces. Castings have been made in several series including ER, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, 24, Knight Rider and Damages.

Over on ER, four have been added to the cast for the show’s final season. These include Shiri Appleby, Julian Morris, Emily Rose, and Victor Rasuk. Appleby is probably best known as Liz Parker from Roswell. She was last seen in a brief stint on Six Degrees on ABC last year. Big names are venturing into TV land as William Hurt, recently seen in The Incredible Hulk, as he joins Damages, which is set to return to FX in early 2009. As for 24, they have snagged Angelina’s daddy, Jon Voight, for a role in the upcoming season.

In ever more casting news, The Hollywood Reporter has announced additions to The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Knight Rider and Numbers. Levin Rambin is in talks to come onto the Terminator series as a potential love interest for the young John Connor, while Paul Campbell is set to join Knight Rider as head research tech for Knight Industries. It seems to be a busy time in Hollywood as they try to get things settled in case of actor’s strike starting in the weeks ahead.
