    • Tori Spelling had been excited to come onto the new 90210 set to premiere the first week of September. Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty are also set to appear on the series, but news out of Hollywood on Monday says Tori has backed out of her return as Donna Martin because of financial issues. She found out she was making less than both Jennie and Shannen. US Magazine reports that Tori was set to make $10,000 - $20,000 an episode while Jennie and Shannen were set to make $35,000 to $50,000 per episode.

Promos for the first episode already show Jennie Garth in her new role as school counselor, and there is buzz that she might actually be married to either Brandon or Dylan. Neither of the males plan to appear on the series, but that love triangle was a big part of what made the series during its run. There is really no telling just how well this new 90210 will be received. It premieres on September 2 with a two hour episode.

If Tori had appeared on the series, her character Donna would now own a trendy store that the teens attending West Beverly High would frequent. No word on what is intended for Brenda Walsh when Shannen makes her appearance. Shannen left the series about mid-way through the run of 90210, and there were problems between her and at least one co-star, Jennie Garth. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the weeks ahead.
