    • Gabrielle Union is coming to NBC for a new television. This yet to be titled series is coming from the same man that wrote the ever popular X-Files television series, Frank Spotnik. This isn’t the first time Spotnik will be working with Union on a project. They worked together on another series for another network. Night Stalker was canceled just after six episodes during the 2005-2006. It co-starred Stuart Townsend along side Gabrielle Union.

I remembered watching that series back when it aired, and I actually liked it. It had the feel of the X-Files to it, which is understandable with who was behind the series. I never understood why it was canceled so quickly, but it suffered from the same ailment a lot of series seem to suffer from - low ratings. They just weren’t enough to keep the series on the air. However, you have to wonder if some networks are trigger happy when it comes to canceling series with low ratings.

That is something for another time. This new series will put Union in a series where she is in a race against the clock to save the life of someone. It really isn’t clear if she will be saving lives weekly, or if this will be a season long process. This show is still very much in the development phase. It will be interesting to see what Spotnik comes up with when it does happen though! We’ll just have to wait for it.
