    • The upfronts are this week for the networks. This is the time we find out just what is happening with all of our favorite series. Will they be returning or not? Some are. Some aren’t. Rumors are flying for a few before their respective networks officially announce their schedules for next year. NBC announced their schedule for the next twelve months a month ago, so fans of NBC already know which of their favorites are returning. A few other announcements have been made in recent months, but many series are now waiting for news on just what they are doing in the months ahead.

So far a few announcements have been made. Over on the CW, Reaperhas been picked up for another thirteen episodes for next year. It appears this one will come in as a midseason replacement. Earlier, the network had announced that many of their most popular shows including Gossip Girl, Supernatural and Smallville would be coming back. Next year, that network also has the 90210 spin-off in the works, and things are moving forward there. Over the weekend it was announced that Jennie Garth would join the series as her 90210character, Kelly Taylor. She is now a guidance counselor at the high school. Rumors have it that Tori Spelling and Ian Ziering will also be joining the cast of the new series.

Over at ABC, Eli Stone has been picked up for another season, but it appears to be the end of the road for the Women’s Murder Club. The move for Scrubsto ABC has also been made official. CBS has its upfronts still to come, but rumor has it that How I Met Your Mother and The Unit have both been picked up for another season. The Unit continuing on is good news for this fan. This is one of the best series on television in my opinion. No word on any others right now, but that will change in the days to come.
